I’m not sure your post was meant for me but I’ll answer it anyway.
I don’t know what New Yorkers think of themselves but I think comparing them to a Chrysler of any kind is a supreme insult to the Chrysler even though the brand is the crappiest ever made.
Well, as I understand it, a berliner was a particular kind of donut. I don’t speak German, but I know that Kennedy said he was a Berliner to mean that he was standing with Berlin against the Soviets who had just erected the wall. He was later ridiculed for saying that he was a donut. Hence my question about someone claiming to be a New Yorker. It doesn’t make you a car.
