For the last several years, a group has been using ground penetrating radar, and then digging up huge sections of cemeteries in search for the bodies of the 1000s of dead blacks, allegedly murdered in the “riot.” They have only found a hand full of unmarked graves. With each passing day, they get more and more frustrated because they cannot find “proof” of the thousands that the left now claims were killed. But they are still searching and digging trying to find something that isn’t there. I believe the numbers that were reported in the 1920s. Not the ones being reported today.
That group also did some exploratory digs next to the railroad, thinking they would find hidden graves there. Nothing except evidence of homeless camps from then up to the present day.
