The fact is that this disease may have already run its course before the widespread distribution of the vaccine. So you can’t really say anyone was saved by the vaccine.

Trying to be science minded and take my personal biases out of the questions. But the AZ vaccine is associated with more than just 1 person getting blood clots. Several widely reported cases and who knows how many others who are undiagnosed or yet to be diagnosed. And as you know, the AZ vaccine is not available in the US. Europe has had a ridiculously difficult time rolling out their vaccines and these kinds of incidents aren’t going to help reduce “hesitancy”. We have an old friend who lives in France, she came home to the USA to get vaccinated because of the problems they are having rolling out vaccines in France. But she isn’t even 100% sure they will “accept” her upon her return because the US vaccines aren’t necessarily considered “vaccinated” in the EU.
I don’t have the numbers in front of me, but it’s somewhere around 1:250,000 for the JnJ vaccine for blood clots - again, just from what we know. And that was enough for the FDA to pull the vaccine for a few weeks. Though personally I don’t believe that was the real reason to “pause” it.

Yes. Gotta keep a science mind about all this - a real science mind. The decline in new cases without question coincides with the wider adoption of vaccines. But that is, absent of other evidence, mere coincidence. Of course, the clinical trials did show a reduction in risk of serious illness so I don’t rule it out. But it’s all just a snapshot in time at the moment. Summer is here. More people outdoors. More sunlight.
And now, they are telling people who have been vaccinated they don’t need to get a covid test. That, plus in general fewer people are being tested. So of course the new infection rate numbers will be lower just from these new policies. It may be related to vaccines or it may just be statistics. Of course, assuming the vaccines do reduce risk of death and hospitalization (which they seem to do) that is a good thing. What’s the price to be paid, yet to be determined. Hopefully nothing. Seems to me they are betting that most people will get infected, and the vaccines are meant to keep symptoms in check and maybe reduce disease contagion.
Shout them down. Never back down. It only does us damage if we let these pea brains have the only voice. Stupid people need to be told to shut up.

I’m a high risk candidate. I hang out with a bunch of people at church. Almost all of them have gotten COVID. To my knowledge I haven’t gotten it but of the people I hang with, I’m probably the most vulnerable. Everyone in my circle of friends had very mild symptoms and got over it.
I take Quecetin, zinc, vitamin C, vitamin D and I wash it down with quinine water. I also eat a diet high in fruits and vegetables and fish oils. I haven’t been sick a day since this pandemic started and I haven’t been careful at all. I don’t wear a mask around people and I only wear it if I have to go into a store that requires it.
Treatment and prevention have never been clinically tried. Why? Because there’s no money in it. Everything I take is readily available at most stores that sell vitamins. I have to order the quercetin, but there’s hundreds of suppliers.
We’re living in a stupid time.

Compare that to the chance of clots during Covid-19 infection, which is about 20%.
Proponents of anti-vax misinformation always try to alarm people about exceedingly rare side effects from vaccines, while dismissing the real dangers of the diseases they prevent. Don’t fall for it. Use a bit of critical thinking and ask what is the motive behind promoting non-scientific nonsense such as anti-vaxxery. Quite the opposite, in fact—anti-vaxxery is pushed by those who believe that the human population should be decreased, if not eliminated.

Now it's pretty obvious from your posting history that you are scared crapless of covid. iirc you have taken the vaccine but you aren't satisfied because you want everyone vaccinated. Not going to happen and the reason for that is accounts like this. Stop defending the vaccine.
Is astra Zeneca being given in the U.S? Friend of mine swears she had this shot here in march 19 and my husband says he saw it being given in costco?
