True story. I (61yo/m) went to the ER on Tuesday with chest pain. Heart checked out ok, but I tested positive for Covid. I wasn’t totally surprised, since I’d had a couple of days of flu like symptoms. I’ve been taking quercetin and zinc daily for the last couple of months, and I credit that with keeping the disease out of my lungs. Chest x-ray was clear, no disease.
The chest pain was deemed “Covid related” but no explanation other than that was provided. The doctor sent me home with instructions to take ibuprofen as needed. (Duh, I could never have figured that out on my own).
I asked about ivermectin, and he said the evidence is not in on its effectiveness, so he doesn’t consider it a legitimate treatment. He did say, however, that it’s such a benign drug that he would prescribe it for me if I wanted. I said, “sure!”
I continue to improve and the pain is diminishing. Honestly, other than the chest pain, this Covid is better than 99% of colds I’ve had. I think the quercetin/zinc were key for me.

First, glad that you’re feeling better. I’m 60, and my (47 y.o. diabetic) wife had it in November. Add green tea extract to the quercetin/zinc mixture - it (like quercetin and HCQ) is a zinc ionophore, though it operates by a somewhat different mechanism. Whatever it takes to get the zinc into your cells. That’s what I did with her almost immediately after the onset of symptoms, and not only did she have no breathing issues, but none of us got it despite not wearing masks (they are utterly ineffective except to give one a sense of false security - if you’re an idiot, that is). Also, my Vitamin D level was very high: pre-Covid, I had a test and it was at 68 (I usually take 5,000 IU/day); once Covid started, I began with 10,000 IU at least 3 days/week, so my level was likely above 80 when my wife got it.

On the Ivermectin front, glad that you got it. The simple fact is that you have the RIGHT (thanks to Donald Trump) to demand that you get it (or HCQ, or other medications), since you the patient can direct your own treatment. I heard many things positive about Ivermectin and Covid, starting in January from an insurance adjuster whose 70+ y.o. neighbors (at the ranch down the road) both got it - their cattle vet prescribed it, and their symptoms disappeared, literally over the course of a single night.

I got HCQ for my family on a trip to Mexico in December, and if I happen to go there again, I will get Ivermectin (the pills, not the paste that you can get for animals online or at farm stores - I don’t want to taste that crap, just get it into my system).
