“Well, they certainly can’t blame the Chinese for it.”

Really. When Jo Bi Din was inaugurated, that was the day that it became Russia’s day in the barrel — every day.

Not quite the same thing.

FB is a private corporation (still not classified as a news medium) making its own choices, much as Free Republic does, about what to print.

This is a group working for a foreign power to undermine our official health program. (I almost wrote woring for a foreign power. Freudian slip.)

The first is a company whose role in selection of material is still in dispute (FB).

The second is an outfit that had to erase its material from the Internet so they wouldn’t all be sent to prison for treason (Fazze).

No we are not. You must look at all the evidence before making such a statement and the present your proof. Not just a fear-provoking anecdote here and there. Statistics exist for a reason, so that we can make educated decisions.

The Times is definitely left-leaning politically, but their science articles have always been outstanding, at least until their long passionate love affair with climate change.

This article, however (I wish we could post Times articles here), posits the exact opposite of the anti-vax propaganda: it says that the vaccines offer greater immunity than natural immunity and do protect against the variants.

I’d like to see a scientific article against this, instead of more anti-vax ranting with no proof. Do you have one? Seriously. Not just being argumentative here.

Exact opposite is probably is true. The long-term effects of covid will be attibuted to the vaccines.

We just had someone claiming here on FR that the numbers are going down because people have stopped wearing masks. Not because 50% of the adults in the nation have been vaccinated.

You can’t ever win an argument with ideologues. I don’t know why I even try.

Are you a Christian Science believer?

Did you know that they call Saint Luke the Apostle “The Doctor”? Because he cared more about the man set upon by thieves than he cared about the point of Jesus’ parable. All he could think of was the injured person. And he wrote into the story of the Romans coming to arrest Jesus that Jesus healed the Roman soldier’s ear after Peter cut it off. Maybe it happened and maybe it didn’t but Luke was always on the side of the sick and wounded.

That seems to be a tad bit missing in the right wing point of view on covid.

Anti-vax ranting? Nice. Especially considering I am NOT anti-REAL-vax.

And...the scientific articles on this subject are posted, here, OFTEN.

Here’s one from today....from a lefty (your kind of source!) scientific paper.....

NATURE: Had COVID? You’ll probably make antibodies for a lifetime

Many people who have been infected with SARS-CoV-2 will probably make antibodies against the virus for most of their lives. So suggest researchers who have identified long-lived antibody-producing cells in the bone marrow of people who have recovered from COVID-191

This sounds to me like the two researchers agree that immunity lasts for years with both infection and vaccine. The only difference seems to be that the Rockefeller U. guy thinks a combination is much better.

Note all the misinterpretations on the thread. I know that’s not your fault, but it’s evidence that many are jumping to the conclusion that we should just wait for the vaunted “herd immunity.”

Diction note: The word “herd” should never have been used, since it has unfortunate connotations of animal groups, and with animals it is sometimes our best course to let diseases run their course. Ever since the first doctor, we have have thought differently about humans.

You should then believe in medical solutions to illnesses, like every other person who is not a Christian Scientist.
