One of the singular most problematic items cited by BLM is the 1994 Crime Bill. Here's an example of what they say and how it hurts minorities from the Center for American Progress.
Who gave us this bill? Progressives did. Then Senator Joe Biden was even the bill's sponsor. But Progressivism can't blame itself, so it has to create a myth and campaign against it.
You can pick nearly any big city you want that's been ravaged by decades of progressive mayors. The inner cities are glittering examples of racial inequities. Chicago is one of those frequently cited and routinely tops such lists. Who caused it? Progressives did, they are the ones in charge of all these cities. Chicago has had progressive mayors since the New Deal.
But Progressivism can't blame itself, so it has to create a myth and campaign against it.
How about when a progressive hollywood actor or actress gets caught in some crime that any one of us would go to jail for 10 or more years for, well they can't say that's progressive privilege. So that has to be white privilege. Even when someone from hollywood is recognized for their grotesqueness and run over the coals the way they should be or more close to how they should be(instead of getting some joke of a two-month sentence/slap on the wrist) such as Harvey Weinstein, what's it an indication of? Whiteness of course. Here is an example.
You see what's happening here, right? It's easy to get caught up in the victimology of it all and proclaim that witches are being hunted. Not that that's inaccurate, but it's not useful. I want to understand the process. This is what they're doing and how they're doing it.
Progressivism can't blame itself even though they are creating these problems. But these problems that progressivism created are useful you see, so the progressives campaign against the very problems created by progressivism by re-directing the issue and saying it's an "American" problem or "systemic racism". You always see this formula, even though it's neither. Progressivism is America's cancer and this is all misdirection. They get away with it because they control the media.
Let me ask you a question. Woodrow Wilson was a deeply dedicated racist. You ever hear that proclaimed as a problem with progressivism? No of course not, that's an "American" problem. Why would it be a problem with progressives, progressivism is perfect.
A crisis is a terrible thing to waste.
The heartening thing in all this is to recognize that America hates progressivism and is rejecting it. The disheartening thing is that through this misdirection, the good is being blamed for the bad.
The scary thing is that it's working. The misdirection. If people were more educated they would be rejecting progressives directly(who are actually creating these problems) in droves. But progressives also control the schools, and that was allowed to happen without any major resistance whatsoever. That's why we are where we are. The good gets blamed for the bad and the bad gets to keep on blaming.
I tried pointing out to some leftie on reddit last year that almost all the “black victims of police violence” were from Democrat-led cities, with Democrat-picked police chiefs, and policing policies set by Democrats. The mental backflips they go through to try to ignore that is quite amazing.
How we ever got rid of the “Fairness Doctrine” is a miracle.
The media is one thing
but the one thing that the people living in the cities where the cops are attacked 100% by Democrats are not gonna be able to escape is the decrease in quality of life and the increase in crime that is occurring in record speed
Crime is up 30 to 100% in every single one of the cities already
Many of the cities are run by Democratic morons and are still locked down or in some state of still trying to restrict people and their movements in their businesses
This is one of the biggest red pills that could ever be delivered and it’s all been happening by Democrats in their actions themselves
When you consider simultaneously hopefully we’re going to take away all their cheating which is how they been able to maintain power you have a twofold approach in which we may be able to actually cry this country back from these evil Satanists
Sadly, they will just come into our areas and make our areas worse. Californians are destroying Colorado and are now beginning to flee from there too. The cycle continues. It really is just like locusts. They created the problem and don't see that their voting habits are the cause. They'll ruin everything. First the progressives show up, then the conservatives flee. It's a double exodus.
There is a fatal flaw in most of humanity in that people do not stand up and fight for the areas in which they live. I've lived in several places and I see this across every line imaginable.
Those who believe in more tyranny, they always fight for additional amounts of tyranny. They fight to achieve it in good times, they fight to achieve it in bad times, they fight to achieve it in mixed good/bad times. They are always working in order for tyranny to arrive. They never sleep. They are tireless in the cause of tyranny. Those who believe in freedom sadly don't do the same.
Yeah, I have seen those types of discussions.
But then what happens next? It’s not just the here and now, where the policy does existing damage in the immediate lives of the people.
What happens when that damage comes? It hurts people today and then the progressives benefit from it tomorrow. They’ll just shift the blame as an “American” problem.
