In reality, kids take to the masks just fine. It’s just another item of clothing.
The claim that kids somehow suffocate from masks is absolutely bogus. An oxygen or CO2 molecule is ~1/1000 the size of a virus particle. Thus, a mask that blocks 90% of virus particles is incapable of blocking O2 or CO2.
The people who are acting like children here are the adults who start screaming “My freedom!” just because they must wear a mask to enter a business. How this imposes on freedom is a mystery that no one has yet explained. Yet these same people have no problem with the fact that they are expected to wear clothing and cover most of their body surface when out in public.
The Babylon Bee usually is spot-on with its satire, but this piece fell utterly flat.
The Wuhan virus seemed to spread quite handily while all these mask mandates were in place. Of course, admittedly, this could be due to the fact that most people weren’t wearing actual anti-viral masks (N-95’s and what-not). Just cloth masks like I wore, that might attenuate the virus a little, but not stop it.
I found the mask to be obnoxious, and I’m supremely glad that my state’s mandate was lifted on the 15th.
