On first glance, rock ’n’ roll music isn’t very conservative. It doesn’t fare much better on second or third glance (or listen), either. Neil Young has a new song called “Let’s Impeach the President.” Last year, the Rolling Stones made news with “Sweet Neo Con,” another anti-Bush ditty. For conservatives who enjoy rock, it isn’t hard to agree with the opinion Johnny Cash expressed in “The One on the Right Is on the Left”: “Don’t go mixin’ politics with the folk songs of our land / Just work on harmony and diction / Play your banjo well / And if you have political convictions, keep them to yourself.” In other words: Shut up and sing.
Did any of these acts put out anything conservative?
The song doesn't say what movie they were watching, but maybe it was "Mission to Moscow," which "didn't have much of a plot." They probably grew bored by its Stalinist propaganda and fell asleep.

Iced Earth is fantastic. It’s a shame that they aren’t better known.
A few months ago, I posted a link to their song “Dystopia”. It’s amazing how prophetic that song is, considering that it was released in 2012. The line “your vaccinated fate” is chilling.
Schaffer is being persecuted for his conservative beliefs. I’ve discovered that Metal artists are more likely to be conservative or libertarian than the “mainstream” artists.
Lynryd Skynyrd: Simple Man, That Smell, and The Needle and the Spoon. "Needle" is one of the most haunting songs about drug addiction that I've heard.
How can "Lola" by the Kinks be missing from this list?
No doubt, "Won't Get Fooled Again" should be #1 on this list. Should have been the Tea Party's signature song.
