The greatest cover band in history just released You're the Inspiration, another Chicago classic.
A few years ago, Russian musician Leonid Vorobiev put together a group of friends to record a song by his favorite band, Chicago.
The video exploded on youtube and Leonid and Friends has become a phenomenon. Three albums and several US tours later, they are still putting out great music.
The current tour doesn't have any sites close to us. Bummer. We saw them on their last tour. Wow, what a show.
They do a fantastic job doing covers of Chicago and their new original “The Speck of Dust” is outstanding!
Might be able to see them later this year
Anyone who liked the band CHICAGO will be blown away by how perfect that sound is back! I listen via youtube almost everyday while on line reading FR, etc.
That the original Russian group learned ‘American’, perfect pronunciation of the lyrics, surely a lot of work and talent.
Not a fan of Jazz. Some rock/jazz fusion was ‘ok’. That being said some of the early work of “Chicago Transit Authority” or just ‘Chicago’ was good.

We did in 2019. No shows nearby on the upcoming tour. Yet. They’re still adding dates.
I always enjoy the satisfied smile Leonid gives off when he’s playing bass with his friends. Just a look of sheer joy and probably a lot of wonderment how a 60 some year old guy can start a global phenomenon.
Konstantin, the new guitarist looks like he’s going to fit in.
On wait list again for ‘21 show at the Coach House in San Juan Capistrano with fingers crossed. I have a son to thank for first discovering them on YouTube - think of his gift to me often.

Someone on FR posted about them and they rapidly became my musical obsession. Got all three albums. I hope they publish an album of their non-Chicago music.
There’s a song by a Canadian band, Lighthouse that would be perfect for them. The song is One Fine Morning.
