Kind of a misnomer to call them comedians since they are not funny.
That is true..
“Kind of a misnomer to call them comedians since they are not funny.”
I had purchased satellite radio as I had long drives to work late at night. There were three comedy channels. The “comedians” were almost entirely political. Nothing anti- Bush, as he was president, was funny. Putting my bias aside, you could tell the joke wasn’t funny because the audience didn’t laugh. Instead they applauded. That meant they agreed, but whatever “joke” presented was not funny. I cancelled satellite as I didn’t want to support a venue that was so obviously anti-conservative. And, as we all know, GWB was not a conservative. He just wasn’t the “correct” flavor of liberal.
I haven’t owned a TV since the OJ trial. I may have seen two movies in the theater since that time. But entertainment is so laced by liberal poison, I don’t watch any of it.
They are absolutely not funny. In fact, we know from the job they do that they seem to be narcissists and jealous ones at that. Dr. Paul is a medical doctor, which requires intelligence way above the cut on late night TV, to even get admitted to medical school, and then, intense training until one is about 30, to actually be able to independently treat people for disease. Go ahead and make fun and bully, boys, because your humor provokes more nausea than laughter. I know American is on the slide downward, but I still believe that most people admire those who actually do work that contributes to the overall good of our people. Dr. Rand Paul is such a person.
There are no real comedians out there anymore. The last real comedians are making documentaries about how they are not allowed to be funny anymore. I haven't laughed at a "comedian" for a long, long time. Even, so-called, movie comedies are not actually funny either. It seems that what they consider "funny" is actually people being cruel to one another. Stand up is basically dead.
We have raised a generation of young people who are so "woke" that nothing can be funny, because someone will be offended by it.
How I miss Robin Williams, Joan Rivers, Rodney Dangerfield, and others. The country has become a miserable place when we cannot laugh at human foibles anymore.
Regrettably, about 90% of Millennials and younger consider these losers voices of authority. They grew up in a comedy-free world, and can’t tell the difference between the simulated humor of today’s late night shows and the real thing.
