Late night comedians make fun of Rand Paul for refusing vaccine (is this supposed to be funny?)

Stephen Colbert announced on his show that it would return to the Ed Sullivan Theater next month. The audience will be fully vaccinated, he said, so that means at least one U.S. senator will not be welcome: Rand Paul. Colbert said that Paul had “Randsplained” his decision not to be vaccinated, citing his “natural immunity” after contracting Covid-19.

“Senator Paul has been a bit of a skeptic of how bad Covid really is, which is probably why he got Covid,” Colbert said on Monday.

Paul also said health officials needed to “prove that the vaccine is better than being infected” and producing antibodies.

“No, they don’t. They don’t have to prove that seatbelts are better than accidents, or that wearing a parachute is better than hitting the earth at terminal velocity, or that having hot spikes driven into your ears is better than listening to Rand Paul — it’s self-evident. Thankfully, most people are not Rand Paul.” — STEPHEN COLBERT

“He’s just gonna keep gelling his hair with Purell. He believes that protects him.” — JIMMY KIMMEL

“No, what he actually said is he said something to the effect of ‘I won’t get the vaccine, but I may reconsider,’ which is just the kind of decisive leadership we need right now.” — JIMMY KIMMEL

“The good news is everyone in Rand Paul’s life stays at least six feet away from him anyway.” — JIMMY KIMMEL

“Look, if you’re comfortable getting by with what your body produces on its own, then you should take off that regional theater wig of yours.” — SETH MEYERS

Regrettably, about 90% of Millennials and younger consider these losers voices of authority. They grew up in a comedy-free world, and can’t tell the difference between the simulated humor of today’s late night shows and the real thing.

More otherization. Rand’s office also received a package with white powder in it, and has-been singer Richard Marx(ist) indicated support for the neighbor who beat the living sh*t out of Dr. Paul a few years ago.

I doubt that they (or I) will die from the vaccine.

OTOH, if S gets real, and they start dying from helicopters, I won't be too worried.

Don’t forget Don Rickles. He went places that would likely get him killed nowadays.

I guess Dr. FearChi will make the rounds on their shows. He can say something one night on Kimmell and say the exact opposite the next night on Colbert’s show.

“Senator Paul has been a bit of a skeptic of how bad Covid really is, which is probably why he got Covid,” Colbert said on Monday.

No he hasn't...he's been a skeptic of how it has been used and abused.

And he does have immunity if he already had the virus.

Colbert is in a long list of clueless Leftists who think they are brilliant.

Umm, how is it not the same thing to have been vaccinated or contracted the disease? In both cases, isn’t your immune system ready to deal with another exposure?
I suspect that the “objection” here is simply losers talking to other losers who waste their time listening to them.

No. They are NOT funny at all. They are no Johnny Carson or Jay Leno. I would include Letterman but I think he let his politics influence his jokes at times.

Although he did have a hysterical bit about his heart attack. My husband, while at home convalescing from a heart attack, really enjoyed it.

So he’s not all bad. Most people aren’t.

Stone cold killers, on the other hand...

Anyway, I think Gutfeld! is surpassing them all.
