“The Eagle88.” Hmm. Two neo-Nazi references in that moniker. .

*eye roll*
Well, I suppose you had to hit bottom and start digging, because the facts are not on your side.
88 is likely the year he was born. I’ll remind you *sigh* that there are American eagles and other US emblems utilizing the bald eagle. Ever seen the US Presidential Seal?
Really, ‘Neo-nazis’ is pathetic. The guy just wants to save children from the damage he’s already parsed from adult records in VAERS. *smh*
Not only that, but if one were to watch the video they would see that the user is reporting for his uncle who is Hispanic.
Wasn’t making a big deal about it. Just noticed it because of the back to back symbolisms. You’re probably right.
I was going to let your shitty little response go but because I think you're a condescending prick, (and man, I detest condescending pricks), I've changed my mind.
". . . Eye roll", ". . . SMH," . . . *sigh*." What condescension, what prickishness; petulant posturing and "know it all" bullshit of the lowest order. "The facts are not on your side." What facts? Where in my comment did I state my position on whether or not I think games are going on regarding VAERS? I didn't.
Here's where you and I seem to differ when it comes to accepting internet news at face value: Firstly, I'm not a petulant, condescending prick who thinks he's always right and anyone who questions my positions, or motivations for those positions, is wrong and hence worthy of condescension. Second, I question everything because when I look at an issue I want the truth of it, not some self-affirming crap that bolsters whatever confirmation bias I might suffer from. I look for clues, I deal in ascertaining fact from fiction and I follow where they take me, my personal biases be damned. Sometimes those clues and facts lead me to barking up the wrong tree, far more often they do not.
The first thing I noticed in the headline for this story was the subject's internet name, which is "Welcometheeagles88." As someone who spent years researching and writing about radicals, and who is well versed in the US Neo-Nazi subculture, I know it is a fact that the eagle motif and the number "88," which is a reference to one of the Wehrmacht's most formidable weapons, are very common symbols in that subculture. And so I commented on that association in the subject's handle, which does contain two NN symbols if you look at it with that knowledge in mind. Whether that is simply coincidental or not is another issue. Period, end of story.
