70% of the adult population, with at least a first shot, has been announced by the President and several Governors (e.g. MD, NM), as the threshold for lifting COVID-19 restrictions, like masks, social distancing and capacity constraints.
Biden has announced that goal for the Nation by the 4th of July.
The UK got faster disease control by delaying second shots, to get more people front loaded with first shots.
One downside though, is that it might be harder to get everybody back for their second shots, 12 weeks later.

Not getting the vax. I have a good friend who actually won’t talk to me any more because of it. She was a nurse recently divorced from an MD and thinks she knows everything.
Not getting shot for several reasons including the FACT that the year I got the flu shot was the first and only year I came down with a horrible case of flu. Little daughter got Measles shot, came down with the worst case of measles anyone ever saw.
PLUS, I’ve been taking all the supplements recommended to build immune system every morning for the last 40 years. I heal really quickly from everything including horrible tooth extractions which required zero painkillers after novocaine wore off. Plus, I just sprained my foot, supposed to take weeks to get over it. I’m back on my feet pain-free after 3 days. And oh yeah, I’m 84.

Tried a web search for an answer to this question but came up with bupkus: has anyone studied whether the COVID infection rate of vaccinated people is significantly lower than that of unvaccinated people? I keep reading about vaccinated people still getting the flu.
Most impressive is the 65+ demographic approaching 90% having at least a first inoculation. Add in another 2-3% of the remaining unvaccinated in the medicare age group of likely recovered COVID and protection of the most vulnerable people is now solid.
You truly don’t know what the 99.85 percent number means do you and you clearly have failed to take into consideration how contagious this disease is, the hospitalization rates and the long haulers just to name a few.
Quit misleading people and quit misleading people about the vaccines.
As I said last night, it’s seems some people really want this virus to keep on winning, create more contagious and deadly variants, have more people hospitalized and kill more people. It’s like some people want what is going on in India or Brazil.
We should all be really happy with what these vaccines are doing to finally open up society again.
