These EV’s are one of the biggest scams forced upon us by benevolent dictators around the world.

Why are we going through all this brain damage, when we have a perfectly functioning vehicle technology already. What problem are we trying to solve, that is so dire that it merits jumping through a million hoops just to receive an inferior experience?

Oh, that’s right, the world is ending in 8.5 years or whatever. Actually, I think I’m going to design and sell a small trailer with a gasoline generator on it that plugs into your electric vehicle’s charging port. With that, the electric vehicle will finally be practical (and we will have re-invented the car, Rube Goldberg-style).

This is all so absurd. Electric vehicles are fine for puttering around the golf course, or for driving through underground tunnels that lack ventilation, or for driving on the moon. In each of those examples, there is an obvious use case for electrics. But for everyday driving, there is little practical application beyond those who have a boutique use that doesn’t require going very far very often.

I agree with some others here that the real intent is to limit personal mobility, probably eventually eliminating personal vehicle ownership altogether. Electrics might “work” if leftists succeed in their desire to herd everyone into cities, utilizing electric cars as just another short range form of public transportation.

Few tidbits -
1) Pouring gas in the car is equivalent about 4MW energy transfer. Small power plant! Hard to match with electricity!
2) The maximum miles driven for the charge is calculated very optimistic. People tried to do some real life driving and they could go a lot less distance. Especially if they needed to heat the car, and run other conveniences.
3) The MPGe tries to match gas to electricity! It is again calculated such that the Ge is a lot more than G! Intentionally, to make EC a look better.
E.g. Ge costs somewhere from $5 to $9, so if you calculate costs from the Ge, you are very mistaken!

If someone runs out of gas while travelling it would be very inconvenient, yet easily correctable by obtaining a gas can and putting some gas into the tank. Start it up and go on. What happens if you run out of charge? Would every single one of those cars have to towed?

I read on the nextdoor.com site from people posting their huge electric rates they are being charged. This without a electric car to charge.

How long does it take to plug in an electric vehicle when you get home from work? A lot less than 5 minutes. Also, there aren’t germs from thousands of people on a home charger, and there aren’t druggies begging for money.

Uh the 3.7KW charger would in fact take an electrical modification. It would at 120 volts draw about 30 amps. Uh Oh household wiring is for a typical outlet 20 amps at 120 volts at maxed out 2400 watts or 2.4KW. Anyways based on what these chargers require in electrical power demand and modifications? No thanks I’ll stick with gasoline.
