I appreciate the feedback from you folks.

Maybe by Monday night at Midnight (my time) I’ll have set up my 52 Year old Ampex reel-to-reel recorder and a streaming radio station link on a 24-hour timer and take a giant leap back into program capturing technology.

(Man, I hope the tape doesn’t break.) Hahaha

I was WAAAAAY ahead of you in technology. I recorded Rush on cassette tapes. I bought three “boomboxes” with cassette recorders and used digital timers to turn each on on for each hour. I then listened to Rush on my evening walks on a portable cassette player. I’m sure your tapes were higher quality, but I could take mine on walks. There were even enough recordings to listen on weekends, too. I was able to listen to EVERY show. I stopped this when he started his podcasts, and I switched to them.

I still have all of these items, and use the boomboxes regularly because of poor radio reception here. They can be placed in the exact locations for best reception. the Rush walks gave me a 50-50-50 health improvement. The walks caused my blood pressure to drop 50 points, my weight dropped 50 lbs, and my cholesterol dropped by 50.
