While I don’t have any affinity for the Freeper that you mentioned, I do believe that blog pimping is a problem with certain people in this forum.

I however believe that people can post from a blog on occasion, doing it the proper way.

I was never Completely anti-blog, because there are some good things on blogs. But I have seen people who post repeatedly, day after day from their own blog, and I have no problem with running those people off.

I’ve been a paying member for many many years on this form because I appreciate having a conservative community I can interact with outside of my very blue state, but I also take exception with people who abuse the privilege.

To be frank, I doubt you will find anybody who would complain about someone posting to their own blog on occasion, but we get people who do it hundreds of times, and they’re not adding at all to the forum or the conversation.

Those are the people I take exception with.

Well, it needs to be a more open forum - w/ easier access. More FB like if you will.

I would ask Jim that if bloggers really do “pimp” this site, what does that cost him? My first response would be nothing.

It actually would be a net gain in that it creates more traffic. So why do people go out of their way to disparage anyone that posts something that isn’t a direct link to WaTimes or WSJ (which is a paywall for most) is beyond me.

The more the merrier. Running people off for any reason makes no sense to me. JMO of course.
