Great story. After moving to Arizona and being under a super nice dark sky, I built a small optical observatory. I didn't build the scope, but I did design and build the scope pier and the scope mount. The great part now is I can control the telescope, the telescope computer, the imaging computer and the cameras remotely from inside my home. Flip a few switches, turn on 2 computers, remove the dust covers from the instrument and I can quickly leave this planet!
