Always fun to watch this race. There is no track like Monaco any place in the world. Mix in mega-yachts, billionaires, beautiful women, and a world famous casino, and you have several hours of excellent entertainment. Practice laps and Qualifying on Saturday. The race starts Sunday at 6 AM (PST).
One of the great ones as races go. Thanks for the reminder. Here’s hoping my favorite UK, BLM afficionado misses a shift or two to qualify outside the top ten.
I saw it in 1973, but not exactly from trackside. I was an impoverished backpacker, and watched from a hillside to the west of the course. Still cool.
There is this. https://www.globalcitizen.org/en/connect/formula1/monaco/
Probably deserving of a thread by itself, but also shouldn’t receive such interest from anyone following F1 racing for the pure competition. Why should someone think it wise to inject political insanity into a sport?
Haven’t watched an F1 race in ages - may get back into it, may not. As it is on ESPN, one can expect some form of politics to be injected into the coverage.
