I can see you don’t get a lot of mice in your basement. Not all of them are dead when I find them. I wish they were because the wigglers make me sad.
Then there are the “humane” traps where they go in but can’t come out. They’re fine in there, except maybe a little mad, so they refuse to talk to me (*wink*). But they’re no longer hungry and are full-blown socialist gimme-dats by then and still won’t talk to me because they’ve heard I’m a capitalist Miss Piggy.
I don’t use those traps any more because they’re like revolving doors for the little critters. I found that out when I let one go and noticed he had a big piece of his tail missing as he ran away. That tail-less rodent was back in my house twice more before I decided the revolving doors weren’t a good solution for me.
YOu have to drive mice someplace far away.
Like a mile, in a nice park or wooded or field area.
