They’ll need years of development before the USN considers them. The structure is extremely complex, with multiple stress risers subject to cracks etc. Engineering components in the struts and the pods will be extremely difficult to access, so maintenance will be a nightmare. If they are sent to distant areas like the Persian Gulf, they will soon fall out of service, one at a time, requiring total refits back in the USA. Compared to these, the Pegasus hydrofoils were simple and bulletproof, and the Navy dropped them after about 15 years.
