Agree. When the low fat craze came late in the 20th century, it was accompanied by much higher amounts of sugar in processed food. This is when the huge spike in type two diabetes occurred. Our bodies are not designed to eat large amounts of any kind of refined carbohydrates especially sugar but flour is just about as bad.

So true. And our bodies crave sugar. It helps us know when fruit is ripe.

I love bread, but I treat a slice of bread as a candy bar. The body processes them both about the same way. I eat steel cut oats as my primary grain.
