Clinical trial suggests convalescent plasma may improve survival with severe COVID-19

Summary:A randomized double-blind controlled trial of convalescent plasma for adults hospitalized with severe COVID-19 found that mortality at 28 days in the treatment arm was half the rate seen in the control arm (12.6 percent vs. 24.6 percent), although treatment was not associated with other improvements in clinical status.

SNIP

"We should not close the door prematurely on research into the therapeutic value of convalescent plasma research for severe COVID-19, particularly in the context of emerging viral variants in low- and middle-income countries," says first and corresponding author Max R. O'Donnell, MD, associate professor of medicine and epidemiology, and member of the Center for Infection and Immunity at Columbia Irving Medical Center. "Locally donated convalescent plasma has the potential to be highly responsive to local viral ecology and sustainable, since many countries already have the infrastructure needed to collect and transfuse donated plasma."

SNIP.

Potential Advantages of Convalescent Plasma

Convalescent plasma may be donated and transfused locally, therefore its use may be more adaptable to a rapidly changing mix of SARS-CoV-2 variants than other interventions. In contrast, monoclonal antibody therapies may need to be repeatedly engineered and combined to optimize potency among emergent variants. Further, since the collection and distribution of convalescent plasma can be performed using existing blood donation protocols and infrastructure, the therapy may be more scalable for use in low- and middle-income countries.

ransomnote: FReeper Karl Spooner likely caught this research just in time as it will likely be censored or purged because it could be a sustainable solution that cuts Big Pharma completely out of production. The product can be harvested in low income countries on demand and is not reliant on pharma.

We seem to have a dangerous doctor here by saying this is “worthless”. Makes a big difference in some people minds when they see posts with Dr. , MD, ect. They may not even be doctors for all we know. Not right.

Trial finds convalescent plasma therapy DOESN’T cut the risk of dying from Covid-19 in crushing blow to promising coronavirus treatment

“Blood plasma of recovered patients had been hailed as a potential treatment

Trial of more than 400 Covid-19 patients in India reveals it is ineffective

People who were given the treatment were just as likely to develop a severe condition or die from the disease as people who did not receive plasma”

Why are you protecting the family jewels with an old article?

You ought to try reading some of these threads you trash. The article notes trials that weren’t successful and notes some were and advises, given it’s promise, that they not turn their backs on it without further study.

Translated into blunt language, they have realized the Deep State machinery sets up fake studies TO FAIL in order to distance treatment solutions from the patients and doctors who need them. Therefore, they are going to see for themselves. *round of applause*

Most people wouldn’t want to get the disease to begin with.

Well, since there are no isolated samples of the virus in real life, only on TV, and since the CDC, NIH, FAUCists are lying to us, we know that most of the harm they attribute to Covid-19 are actually from the vaccine. Notice the ‘studies’ are coming out ‘discovering’ some of this after vaccination? Oh, they seeded some stories early, with NIH funded research.

So it’s best to get the illness and treat it early with medication protocols that work.

Plasma is probably another “the sooner the better” treatment.

I'm glad that the Trump vaccines have brought the hospitalization rates down so much. Patients can go so fast. Most people don't want to be hospitalized at all.

Sounds like she was a candidate for breakthrough Covid - immunocompromised. She didn’t avoid treatment. She became quickly ill and died from an unknown disease, because the PCR doesn’t test for the virus. Best if she wasn’t diagnosed With Covid-19 because they would then withhold medications anyway and just put her on overly aggressive ventilators.

You never care about people who die or suffer if they are vaccinated. Sad.

So why than, those of us who recovered from this virus be compelled to vax? To all who vaxxed, why you worry ‘bout me?

THERE is evidence coming out now that the people who have the strongest negative reactions to the 'vaccine' are those who already had Covid.

The indoctrination effort by the MSM is training the vaccinated to vent their anger about lockdowns, masks etc. on the unvaccinated. It lets the Faucists escape accountability and makes the vaxxed feel superior. No, the vaxxed have no reason to care about us but the indoctrination campaign is training them to think the unvaccinated are 'holding us all back'. THey're being told we'd all be roaming freely, fully returned to normal employment etc., everything will be great if only the vaxxed would stop being 'selfish' and 'do their part.'

The vaxxed believe the propaganda that says if we would get vaccinated, everyone would be given our freedom back by the fascists laboring to enslave us. If the unvaxxed would just obey, as the vaxxed have already done.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAH!

Only the non-COVID19-vaccinated can donate, according to American Red Cross.

Ironic, isn’t it?

So glad to be in the ‘control group’.

Being in the COVID19 ‘control group’, I am allowed to donate to the plasma effort. I wonder how much I should charge?
