Yes, you are correct. This was a very underreported story back in 2020. There was even a conference call where mayor bettlejuice one of the hispanic council members - a fellow democrat - got into a profanity laced shouting match because the mayor was preventing the police from doing their jobs and protecting the business & citizens in his district.
The Mexican business owners were having none of it, and took to the streets - armed - to protect their businesses. I wonder how many people in that district ended up voting for Trump in 2020 as a result of that wake up call.
The democrats may come to regret their open border policy. The dirty little secret is that a much greater percentage of the brown victim group doesn't see themselves as a 'victim' group and will put in an honest day's work than the homegrown, more 'melanin-enriched' democrat victim group who thinks they are entitled to burn loot and murder whenever they feel like it with no consequences.
