I get scam calls all the time. Usually I hang up, but sometimes I put them on speaker phone and listen to a bit of the spiel before telling them off before they hang up.
Zero agencies will call you to inform you of your arrest or whatever their threat du jour is.
It saddens me that there are so many gullible (mostly old) people out there. Were they always this gullible, or is it a function of aging?
Maybe neither.
It may be more a matter of being raised in the day when you were courteous to people and they were honest and you could trust them.
