Article 1, Section 8 only requires post offices to be established, it says nothing about it being a jobs program. Private firms can do this work. Let them.
The post office is a constitutional entity, but the office ofpostal inspectors is not. They just need their mission creep reined in, that’s all.
Cut their budget in half, they obviously don’t have enough legitimate mail fraud if they are inventing new missions.
The constitution does not mandate a post office. It does authorize congress to create one. The feds could scrap or privatize it if they wanted to.
