Not exactly what anyone would call a leader.
Steven Hayward at Power Line has a prescient observation about the unflattering exposé of Kamala Harris that ran in The Atlantic two days ago:
[P]erhaps the most revealing tidbit in the whole article, though it may not be evident to the casual reader:
Harris has been an elected official for 18 years straight, but she has only a few senior aides on staff who have worked for her for more than a few months. Turf battles have been a recurring feature of Harris offices over the years, but her newest circle believes it is finally getting her on track after years of past staffers not serving her well. Some have been surprised at how much work there is to be done, whether that's briefing her on certain policy issues or helping her improve her sparring-with-journalists skills.
The problem isn't "turf battles." It is always a bad sign when a politician can't good keep staff (or any staff), and Harris has long been known for being a terrible boss, going back to her time as California Attorney General. When you can't keep eager political staff ...
Briefing her on policy issues? Hard to do when she's such a lazy person, interested only in wokester posturing, talking about her "story," posing for Vogue photo spreads, thrilling the crochet circles, or whining about her home decorating dilemmas. Policy to Kamala is for the birds.
Hayward is right about politicians who can't keep good staff on hand and that being a bad reflection on their capacity to lead. Eric Hoffer once noted that the reason Stalin was able to best Trotsky for the supreme leadership of the Soviet dictatorship was because of his capacity to retain the loyalty of a group of able lieutenants.

I can’t help but wonder if the whole Biden/Kamala ticket is an elaborate plan to make Pelosi president.
Force Harris to resign and before Biden can select a replacement he strokes out or is otherwise declared unfit and boom, Greetings President Pelosi.
My thoughts also... is it Pelosi?
I said here a long time ago, I think she’s going to quit rather than play second-fiddle much longer to a demented old geek.
The advantages to her of quitting a job Vice President John Nance Garner characterized as “not worth a bucket of warm spit.” are virtually endless in today’s America.
• She receives MASSIVE worldwide publicity when she makes her announcement, which leads to ...
• A MASSIVE multi-million-dollar book deal, which leads to ...
• A fawning movie about her life as a “Pioneer of Women’s Rights,” which leads to ...
• Another MASSIVE multi-million dollar contract for her own afternoon talk show.
How does all that stack up to following Joe Biden around day after day and listening to him slur speeches?
Harris is quite typical of the women who are executives for government in California. Pantsuits, know-it-all glasses, short hair, bad attitudes, and reputations for bullying and retaliation. They are distinctly unpleasant and contemptible creatures.
You know what? I sometimes get the nagging feeling that all of this we’ve been through with the pandemic and the election — ALL of it — is a DIRECT result of Donald Trump ticking off Nancy Pelosi. I think she’s just that vindictive and evil, and she knows plenty of people who can pull off a massive gaslighting job like this one.
She figures that Joe won’t make it all 4 years so she’ll get to be President with a much, much larger book deal down the road.
Only Willie Brown’s staff. And Montel Williams staff.
She must of that female odor like two old old ladies at a Craft fair inside a hot tent in early September
So many leaders are horrible people, belittling their staff, abusing their staff, berating their staff, firing their staff. constantly losing their tempers and screaming.
I was always amazed at how people like this could actually get ahead. The old adage “Nice guys finish last” is very true.
She’s shallow, ditzy vicious and flaky. This would explain a lot of why she can’t keep competent staff and her poor hiring decisions. Her sordid and corrupt start in politics is well known. But she’s also the product of the spoils system machine politics of a one party state, California. Her deficiencies become immediately obvious the minute she steps out of the comfort of the hothouse politics of the San Francisco Bay Area and the slobbering hero worship of it’s Praetorian Guard media.
She’s a tan Hillary with a smaller body count (at this point).
Like the old adage says:
People don’t quit their jobs, they quit their bosses...
I think she might find Presidentin’ way too much work with far too many literally world-class headaches, when she can make millions on a ghost-written book, and millions more hosting a talk show an hour a day as the undisputed heroine of American women — “The New Oprah.”
Honestly, there are WAY better jobs than President here in 21st century America.
Sociopaths rise to the top because they are experts at lying, stabbing everyone else in the back, and manipulating others.
Their big advantage—they see other human beings as farm animals to be herded and slaughtered.
Most folks never see it coming—until it is too late.
Jackson Lee is known for being demeaning and berating to her staff.
Harris has to do something to make a name for herself because she sure as hale isn't showing herself to be a leader when it comes to solving the problems of the nation.
She's completely AWOL on the border disaster which Biden tapped her for solving.

I couldn’t listen to that nasal, run-on sentence style of speaking for five minutes.
It’s an evil laugh, like Hillary’s.
So many people cannot stand to listen to her. She is unlikable, in much the same way as Hillary, and Schumer!
