If only the Spaniards had explored Ethiopia in the 15-1600’s...Ethiopia would be lush with mesquites.

It might be better if Ethiopia were to plant 20 billion corn stalks.

Hopefully that includes a lot of fruit trees, date palms and coconut trees.

20 billion? By the end of next year? Do they even math? I going to confidently predict that they fall a tad short.

“Ethiopia Aims to Plant 20 Billion Trees by 2022”

That’s almost as many money tress as the Democrat have to plant to pay for Biden’s spending policies.

Well, in principle nothing really wrong with planting lots of trees. They should plant crops though. They are going to water these trees I imagine by damming up the Nile River, which is making Egypt very angry. Could result in war.

I've flown over Ethiopia, never set foot in it (thankfully).

The Sam Kinison meme is right IT'S a F**KING DESERT! You can plant trees until the cows come home and they're going to die, there's no water in the vast majority of the country!

Impressive - 50,000 per square mile and 100 per acre. Glad they don’t have any roads there, or they’d have to tear them up to make room for the trees. As to water, they already have that problem solved, their new dam will simply take the water that Egypt is getting from the Nile, so plenty of water! Hmmmm...

...I wonder what Egypt thinks of the plan?

An eco- vacation to war torn, famine ridden, blue helmet heaven Etheopia is just the virtue signal I want to send.

This touchy feely warm and fuzzy sh!t can’t work on the masses when 95% of the population eat rice from a UN bag. The whole world is peddling crap!!

the majority of Ethiopia is a central plateau that receives 40 to 80 inches of rainfall annually. The coastal strip along the Red Sea is desert. Since the increase of atmospheric CO2 is already known to be having a greening effect, this initiative appears at an opportune time for the Ethiopian environment,
