While Petersburg experienced the same initial panic as everyone else, we are on an island in Southeast Alaska. A bit isolated. The population on the island is about 3000. We had about half a dozen people present symptoms early on. There have been under a hundred total positive tests since this began, mostly travelers arriving from the lower forty eight. No one has been hospitalized. No one has died. No one has even been seriously ill and no one has been actually sick for months.
