I have no idea whether Mexico produces things.

You can't be that ignorant?

Don’t buy a Chinese sump pump, either.

—”They still use bamboo”

I was around there in the 1970s and it was rope lashed bamboo scaffolding everywhere! Except (IIRC?) Japan.

I suspect this another example of natural frequency. A vibration that is in tune with the time it takes an object to vibrate makes the vibration bigger and bigger every cycle until something breaks.
Didn't that happen to the Golden Gate bridge when there was a crowd walking across it?

Thoughts and prayers for the people that live there.
I wouldn’t.

A wind glass vibrated by sound at its resonance frequency.

The Golden Gate did have some issues with a loud hum caused by recent work but that has since been fixed.

Apparently quality control is an alien concept to the Chinese.

thanks for your post, I’m seeing articles now on the humming of the SFG bridge.

My recollection was incorrect, although the event did happen. For the 50th anniversary celebration in 1987, the bridge was closed for pedestrians only, and some 300,000 people were on it at the same time, causing the center span to flatten from its normal slightly-flexed position.

So it was sheer weight and not some type of harmonic effect.

Such are the consequences of making bricks without straw.

Motion damper malfumction?

Seems possible. Has anyone seen if a cause has been determined (if the gov't will even admit it)?

The cure for diabetes is prevention. Minimize sugar and other sweets, refined carbohydrates. Doing this can also cure diabetes for a number of diabetics. Basically fish, fowl, meat, eggs, cottage cheese, low starch vegetables like salad greens, celery, cucumber, asparagus. After the diabetes is under control, small amounts of whole grains, and higher starch vegetables. Fats in moderate quantities like olive oil, butter, chicken with it’s skin, etc. Fresh fruits in modest quantities like blueberries, strawberries, citrus fruit, apples, grapes, pears. This diet will usually lead to weight loss as well.
