Bye-bye Broadway: A grim prognosis for New York’s theaters - I see Broadway theater having the same chance in New York City as a statue of Robert E. Lee

ah yes, the 7 train. That’s the one that baseball player John Rocker was crucified over his comments about the people on that train.

John Rocker:

“I would retire first [Before playing for Yankees]. It’s the most hectic, nerve-racking city. Imagine having to take the 7 train to the ballpark, looking like you’re [riding through] Beirut next to some kid with purple hair next to some queer with AIDS right next to some dude who just got out of jail for the fourth time right next to some 20-year-old mom with four kids. It’s depressing.”

“The biggest thing I don’t like about New York are the foreigners. I’m not a very big fan of foreigners. You can walk an entire block in Times Square and not hear anybody speaking English. Asians and Koreans and Vietnamese and Indians and Russians and Spanish people and everything up there. How the hell did they get in this country?”

“I’m not a racist or prejudiced person,” Rocker said. “But certain people bother me.”

Who would go to an outlaw city, where one has no protection, to travel to a theatre, without guaranteed protections and subject to the whims of the outlaws, to sit in a darkened auditorium with the possibility of outlaws breaking in and harming and stealing as the audience is paralyzed and unprotected.

Then to travel back out of the city...

No, no more.

Hey NuYawkers...this whole DeBlasio-storm (or Cuomo-storm...same difference) was self-inflicted.

That makes a point.   With social distancing the cost of a ticket has to be at least five times what it used to be.   Then again the cost of social distance measured among the cast and crew should be factored in.

I love it when woke communists find themselves thrown into the stages of Hell they create on Earth.   That will never get old.

Update...

Broadway to require vaccinations, masks for audience members

Good luck with that.
