:) You seem to be in to Ancient Aliens or ancient astronauts. Ten years or so ago I did watch to discover new archaeological sites but lately they seem less informative. I learned of Göbekli Tepe from that show and expanded my knowledge of Puma Punku. I was aggravated that my archaeology magazines at that time had not even mentioned Göbekli Tepe.
Hancock has been around for some time, a bit after von Daniken. I wouldn't consider him a prime source. He does get around more lately. He has taken up with Giorgio A. Tsoukalos who strikes me as a bit of a nut case.
I will not subscribe to the ancient astronauts theory until it is unambiguously proven.

No. No way. None of those books deal with or mention aliens. All of them deal with real history by revealing little known artifacts and scientific results of various objects, cites, and dating.
Hancock has improved his written research from what it was when he started out to where he can cite from documented findings and archeologists. I don’t particularly recommend his other books but I do the tow I mentioned and you might take a look because Göbekli Tepe plays a part.
Temple is the most credible of them all because of his personal investigations, but his findings all deal with Old and Early Middle Kingdom Egypt. Pretty much everything most know about those times is completely wrong based on known dating forgeries. Crystal Sun is interesting as he presents a good case that eye glasses and telescopes where known in ancient times and shows the optical lenses to prove that point.
Andrews deals with modern findings of human origin and the 70,000 stone circles around the world as well as human migration patterns.
None of this will be found on any TV show, outside of a rare, brief and often misleading reference.
None of them say aliens did this or that - all of them say that either we are very ignorant of out human past and human capabilities in the very distant past. So with your interest in possible high level prehistoric human civilizations is why I gave the list.
