Ridiculous theories can be used to discredit all theories concerning a specific topic. For example, some dubious theories about rigged voting machines were used to discredit ANY questions about what occurred during the 2020 election.
That’s why it’s important everyone focuses on actual issues and not ridiculous, laughable nonsense. Because that nonsense gets used to shut down real discussion.
Problem is, some people happily latch on to whatever silly claims get made if those claims align with their chosen narrative. So they push those kooky conspiracy theories and nobody can have a real discussion about real issues.
