It was a draw for America. However, it was a strategic victory for us in that we showed the world we could stand toe to toe with the best army in the world.
Draw? Britain didn’t want the war in the first place, she had already conceded on the impressment issue but the US went ahead with the war anyway because they hoped to be able to kick the British out of North America, when that failed America ended up fighting a defensive war trying to stop Britain rampaging all the way through US territory having expected to fight a quick and easy victory in annexing Canada.
If you start a war hoping to make territorial gains and you end up with the status quo ante bellum, I think that counts as a loss.
