Maybe so, but this 10 or 20% has evidently seized control of the US Government, news media, and academic institutions.
America's enemies abroad have so far behaved cautiously, as though they can hardly believe their good luck and still wonder if the remaining Americans, 80 to 90% by your estimation, are powerful enough to rebuff them if they should become overconfident.
That's why I think the Colonial pipeline shutdown was a test. If so, we can expect even bolder tests, and, should the USA fail them, far bolder and more aggressive behaviour from America's enemies, both foreign and domestic.
