I have a friend in the ICU right now who is in his 40’s, a bit on the heavy side but generally in decent shape. He has 5 young kids. He may not make it and if our prayers are answered it is still probable he will have permanent damage. They induced a coma.

We have other friends who are in their 70’s that are sick but doing well enough and appear to be on the path to recovery in a week (hopefully). I have two other friends in their 40’s who had it (lost taste) in the last month with little symptoms.

This is a very weird virus.

Indeed. You seem to know many who have contracted it. I on the other hand know no one who has and just one person who said he knows “of” someone who has/had it.

I felt the same way you did in the first months of the pandemic. Not a lot of cases in my area or region with rural areas mostly unaffected. It has gone around pretty good in the last 6 months with some tragic results.
