England’s second team, which has been referred to as the “Saxons” since 2006, will have its name changed back to the old “England A” team when they face off against Scotland A in Leicester in June, in order “to reflect the diversity in society”.

I have a better suggestion: "Airstrip One" team.

Could try the name the “Dark Ages”, better yet, the “Black Death”. Other names that appeal; Berserkers (Viking), The Great Heathen Army (Viking), The Housecarls (Saxon), or the Fyrd (Saxon).
Come to think of it the English language is largely based in Anglo-Saxon speech, so is BLM ever going to be satisfied? Or would they rather we switch to swa-effing-hili? In Britain blacks represent 1.5% of the population.
