I don't think Biden will be gone until
1. DC becomes a state, bringing two more Dems to the Senate.
2. He has served a minimum of two years. That will allow Kamala to serve the remainder of his term and serve two additional full terms as President. (I personally don't think she would win even a single additional term, but I think they're delusional enough to think she can.) If Kamala completely embarrasses the Dems as President (which she will), the powers-behind-the-scenes will force her to step aside, thereby elevating her selected VP to become President.

Biden may or may not have any choice in the matter of when he is ‘gone’. Nature and democrats may have other plans for him. D.C. becoming a state is fraught with Constitutional problems. Creating most of the District into a state or devolving most of it back to MD runs afoul of the 23rd Amendment as well as the body of the Constitution itself. No matter what happens, I doubt if we’ll see Senators from D.C. any time soon.
