There was a time you'd could be executed for poaching the King or Queen's swans, or any other wildlife on royal land. There's still a Keeper of the Queen's Swans in England today.

True.
Some freak murdered the swans in the local park and they had to scrounge up almost $4K a piece to replace them.

I was wondering what would happen to him if he did this in England. All swans are still property of the Crown. I certainly wouldn’t try it with Henry VIII on the throne.
