Nearly 60% of all adults have gotten a COVID vaccine.
Nearly 84% of seniors have too.
Vaccinations continue marching on across the nation. We’ll be at 80% or more this summer, likely before full FDA approval comes. After it comes, expect another surge of interest. Meanwhile, teens are now eligible and soon kids under 12 will be too. Clinical trials are underway all the way down to 6 months old. COVID-19 cases and deaths are trending down and if we see any increases, they should be regional, small, and short-lived.
Israel is about a month ahead of us. They’re averaging 30 cases per day (down from 10,000) and 1 death (down from 100). Only a few places on Earth where COVID-19 is basically beaten and they’re all the places with high vaccination rates using western vaccines (not Chinese garbage). Must be a conspiracy by the lizard people.

Yes, I agree. The worst is behind us, and we already have widespread immunity throughout our population - overwhelmingly among the vulnerable elderly.
I think we are 2-3 months behind Israel. They went on a continuous tear, until they got around 90% of adults vaccinated. Our progress inflected to a slower rate after 50%.
We are still getting there (and I think we are already over the hump of replication rates less than 1) - but it is going to take us longer to get to such low case numbers (about 1,000 would be our per capita equivalent, today was 22,000 - exceptionally low for us).
Cases have now been on a down trend about 4 weeks, and it is now showing up in a lowering death rate as well.
This seems to be the final approach of the curve, out of the range of serious Public Health concern.
Novavax announced that they going to delay requesting Emergency Use Authorization, at least until June.
Their shares are down 31% over the last two days.
