Over in Eastern Utah, in the Uinta Basin, a startup company named Vivakor is extracting road-grade bitumen from tar sands using a patented sealed process, converting 500 tons of gooey glop into 250 bbls per day and yielding clean sand with less that .02% residual hydrocarbons. I’d call that “well-positioned”!
