Mj’s family’s religion and his ultra strict father really hurt him. As I understand that family as well as Prince were affiliated with Jehovah Witnessses at some point. Very cult like.

Prince was definitely a Jehovah’s Witness. A friend’s sister was a dancer/singer for him and he was ultra controlling to the max and in other ways NOT a nice person, plus being a JW. He pressured the sister into joining JW.
