I know my local guys are cool, and I know the Sheriffs crew over in my Lander Co. NV spread area are epic, but their are some entire DERP organizations too.
Without a doubt there are entire DERP organizations. But remember, the fish rots from the head down.
There are plenty of dirty cops who relish bashing heads, just for the sake of bashing. Seen it.
And it depends upon what the brass tolerates or condones or ORDERS, how the street cops will behave. Any cop that bucks the man, will pay (personal experience). Works in a jail or prison, works on the street.
This is the understanding that this fellow lacks, as he maligns the ENTIRE body of police in this nation.
Rather than us being all the way in on third world status, we have a police system that does actually have checks and balances and watchdogs. Now even more so with the advent of the cell/camera phone.
I think this is the best to be hoped for.
Just look south of the border for the possible alternate.
