Lawyers are handling it. May not be able to close tomorrow. It could get pushed off by days or a month. Depends on the title insurance company and if the change needs to go before the planning board. They never filed the latest plan & survey (from 2005) with the town. Dumb arses.

Praying this gets resolved quickly and favorably for you and that you’ll be enjoying your summer at the new place.

Legalism. Some is useful and necessary; some not.

I just spent 1/2 hour talking with someone at the County Commissioners’ office. Nice lady. Clued me in to why this county and the one below us, and especially our valley, is being utterly destroyed with illegal mj growing operations and nothing is being done to stop it. Literally destroyed, in multiple ways. Example: our well now gets 10gpm. In 20 years, through some bad drought years, it never went below 13GPM and usually 14. Why 10? The growers are sucking the acquifers dry, stealing from creeks and streams (illegal because no water rights, big thing in the west). Local well driller said wells are failing all over the valley. And that’s just one of the horrors.

Why legalism? The illegal growers - many funded by cartels - ask for a hemp permit which requires no testing or oversight, and then grow high thc mj. People from Russia, Bulgaria and mostly MX are coming here and buying huge acreage. The state and feds refuse to do anything and the county has no “legal” authority.

I told her I’ll be sharpening my pitchfork and she said many others are as well.
