I have a younger friend in the same situation. Only her son is 7.

I’m not divorced, so I don’t know... but as half of his parents, don’t you have an equal say as to what he does? Can you put your foot down and say no? Or say no until he’s 18?

Sorry she doesn’t have common sense about this.
