Tim Tebow is not signing to compete for a QB job, he signed to compete at a TE which he’s never played....
If he makes the team, it will be as a Special Teams player and back up blocking TE....
I think he brings a couple of interesting possibilities. In his day, he was a pretty heavy-duty runner. H-back or slot receiver and hand him the ball occasionally. Reverse pass with him throwing the ball. Blocker in punt formation, he is a fake punt, run-pass option. Essentially, he can be used to keep the defense hones in the right situations. I don’t think Kaepernick brings those options to the table.
