I carry concealed. When somebody is acting like an a$$ I politely defer. Nothing is worth shooting someone. The only reason to shoot someone is to protect yourself or others. Likewise, when somebody thinks I cut them off in traffic, I make apologetic motions. As Robert Heinlein said, “An armed society is a polite society.” Besides, I have zero ego involved in what some a$$ thinks of me.
Years ago, I had a boss who stood about four foot nothing. He wore lift boots and about once a month he had a story about someone cutting him off in traffic and waving or even shooting a gun at each other. He’d tell his forced audience of employees his story and we’d look at each other, the expressions saying our thoughts. The problem with an a$$ with a gun is, he’ll eventually run into another a$$ with a gun. Then, the winner will be the sociopath with nothing to lose. After one event, when he’d gone back into his office, the secretary, a quiet woman who normally kept her thoughts to herself whispered, “One day he won’t be here and it’ll be the other guy bragging about his exploits.”
you are a wise man.....
