She says she is actually enjoying it. If she is smart, she’ll go ahead and become a good neighbor and see what she learns, who she meets, etc. This could be a blessing she can’t imagine.
I see a career opportunities. She could drive/ run errands for her neighbors. I know of a couple people that make great money senior sitting in a Fl. retirement community.

I moved into an apartment building that had recently been a retirement community so most of the residents were older (I was 30 at the time). It was always quiet, clean, and friendly. Once I went down to the laundry room and found my clothes folded in the basket. I let some of them know that if I was there I would be happy to carry in their groceries or help move things. It was a great experience.
