Do you think 7 is pretty safe even though Microsoft dropped support? I'll be a Win 7 user till I die.
Safeguards:
* I use Eset for viruses, never let me down. See AV Comparitives. Notice that Eset has zero false positives, an excellent thing.I use Ad Block to keep out the unwanteds.
Ghostery kills all the trackers.
* And, just for Win 7 users, Zero Patch does an awesome job of keeping the OS up to date.
Like I said, Win 7 till I die. I don't like MSFT having free access to my machine. And I live in the boondocks and have metered broadband. MSFT's intrusive updates would eat a bunch of the broadband I have, even if I tell MSFT I'm metered and they do whatever to cut the size of the updates.
Thank you all for your comments,,,very helpful! I have a Chromebook laptop and Android tablet also, but have always liked Win7 best of all and haven’t gone on to 10. Guess I could use the Classic Shell as bigbob mentioned, but just have stayed with 7.
