because I dont like government hand outs. I’ve been that way all my life. heck, I have been on the hardest of times, and to date, I never even recieved a dime in unemployment benifits...(even though I’ve paid into it for years...or my employers have...)

Same here. I dont blame you. I didnt even apply for the free money from Trump for our company (EIDL) while everyone including their mothers got thousands OR millions . Blame it on our laziness. However, just like any establishment, one should have an idea of how much it’s gonna cost. Did I tell you that I’m one of the few Freepers who did not sign up with Obamatardcare, even when Jarjar was president?
Then have fun paying 8k. My husband was like you. After paying 1700 mo for family cobra 18 months we had no ins. Kid had to go to hospital 13k bill. Husband too embarrassed. I explained we paid into it 30 years. Just needed it until Medicare. What did you think the hospital would charge you?
