you need to reread that post. he’s paying a debt collector many months later. at that point, the debt has been written off as a loss. a loss that’s covered by, among others, the taxpayers.
he is not paying a health care provider, he’s paying the guy that bought the hospital’s bad debt (for pennies on the dollar) after the hospital absorbed the loss. again, these are his words.
that’s theft. he intended to steal, and he then stole. he talks about how he intends to steal again in the future.
